Dr. Marie D. Quartararo is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist who is fellowship-trained in Pediatric anesthesia. Dr. Quartararo, who was raised in New York, joined Columbia Anesthesia Associates in 2003. She conducted her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University earning her BA in Biology. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1988, Highest College honors with a distinction in Research and was awarded the Bessie Dolan Basic Science Award. In 1992, she received her MD degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. In 1996, she completed her Anesthesiology and Critical Care Residency training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. During her final year of residency training at Thomas Jefferson, she completed mini-fellowships in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and Ambulatory Anesthesia. She was also appointed Chief Resident and was awarded the Robert Dripps Award for Outstanding Graduating Anesthesia Resident. She completed fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at the world renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia / Hospital of University of Pennsylvania in 1997 and remained as an Assistant Professor at CHOP for the following year. |
